seems like just yesterday chris was the scrawny boy in high school with silver chains and white hair (because who didn’t want to look like eminem?) oh how things have changed…thank god! :)

today marks my husband’s 30th birthday and i am so happy for him. it’s amazing how much can change in just 1 year but i’d say that as of this morning….30 is looking pretty good!

so just for fun….lets list 30 things that have happened and changed in chris’ life in the last 365 days!

1. facial hair….the boy now has facial hair. i don’t know which i like better.

2. chris officially likes goat cheese

3. chris goes back to school- he has been studying day and night to finish his degree. awesome.

4. officially completed his first marathon- and had the ugliest blister i have ever seen to prove it!

5. working out- chris has always been pretty active, but in the last year i am not sure who he loves more. me or Life Time Fitness.

6. new job with many new opportunities.

7. his awesome wife became even more awesome this year.

8. november 27, 2010. chris learns to use a mac.

9. tuesday night date nights implimented: dolla movie. two dolla popcorn.

10. momma woltering moves away. not a chris change but still a big change in his life since we used to live with her and she was only 5 minutes away. now she is like 15 hours away. (oh sunny florida…)

11. chris becomes obsessed with making smoothies this year.

12. chris gets mad at me for forgetting to buy him bacon at the grocery store. says he will never let me grocery shop again. true story.

13. chris apologizes for getting worked up over bacon. i am allowed to grocery shop again.

14. the boy decides to shave his head bald. eew.

15. chris takes me to baltimore for our 1 year anniversary where we end up in the back of a van helping a random man make seafood deliveries.

16. in this same trip we see charm city cakes!

17. chris refuses to sleep in bed because he becomes obsessed with our new couch. this has since been negotiated and changed :-)

18. chris thinks he is irish on st. patrick’s day

19. he tries fish tacos for the first time and likes them!

20. again on our 1 year anniversary, chris tries to give me a check for $2,500 to go towards my photography business. i laugh at the craziness, say thank you, and kindly cannot accept. i still have that check saved. big heart that man has.

21. leonitis maximus. this is what he tells me our son’s name will be. riiigghtt…

22. this is the year that chris kept under armour in business.

23. he may have also kept bud light in business :-)

24. chris starts flossing his teeth this year upon dentist recommendation.

25. he starts wearing his black glasses much more (i think he is very hot when he wears them!)

26. we make the 18 hour drive from venice, fl to va. chris drove the entire time with 3 bathroom breaks. he is part human, part robot.

27. Chris has watched (with me) about 28 hours of Big Love total :-) all the way from season 1…best show ever.

28. chris surprises me by sending me a huge bouquet of roses to my work!

29. can’t think of anything else.

30. chris gets **** for his 30th birthday present…sorry…you will have to wait to see what it is!
