For us, it’s the experiences, the travel, the connections, and the iconic fashion of weddings that we love. This blog is our inside edit of all those things and more.
A lot of brides ask me this question: why do I need an engagement session? Won’t I be getting enough photos on my wedding day? To some couples, engagement photos can be stressful! Especially if they’re not particularly camera crazy or maybe they don’t love being the center of attention. I’ve broken down the 3 key reasons why engagement sessions are so important and even snuck in a few tips for your official photo op!
This Georgetown engagement session was absolutely stunning as we captured that perfect golden light before sunset. Caroline and Dominic live in the city so it made this session that much more special to them. So excited for their wedding at The Four Seasons Georgetown with Anne Kelley Events and Design!

Lindsey + Peter met me in the heart of Old Town right before sunset to catch some engagement photos with that charm that only Old Town, Alexandria has. We walked around the cobblestone streets just as hints of spring were starting to bloom, and ended the session with them relaxing at the waterfront. Can’t wait […]
One of my favorite things to do is to try and get creative with engagement sessions in DC. I really want to have the session reflect the couple’s personalities, get them comfortable in front of the camera before the wedding, and most importantly we just have so much fun! We did Courtney + Jason’s engagement session in DC at Key Bridge Boat House and it was such a great evening with the most perfect sunset. A few favorites!
Jossy + Kyle had their Georgetown engagement session on this beautiful summer day, and everytime I look at these images I want to relive it over and over. DC engagement sessions in the summer with all it’s lush greenery is simply the best.

We had a beautiful day at the Jefferson Memorial for Jeff + Christina’s DC engagement session. What I love about doing engagement sessions at the Jefferson Memorial, is that you can also get views of the Washington Monument at the same time. Being able to photograph two beautiful locations from one spot makes for a […]
Aaron + Rob had the most epic fall day for their fall engagement session in DC at Meridien Hill Park! It is so hard to plan these things perfectly, especially since in DC the weather is so unpredictable. We had the entire park practically to ourselves, it was one of those idyllic fall days where […]
