we sat in awe of the beauty of the Jefferson Monument before the sun had even risen. there was not even one other person there. it felt like the entire city had shut down just for a few moments, and the entire monument was just ours to enjoy. so we quietly started the session- adriane + andrew snuggling up together trying to warm up from the chill in the air. they stood on the steps and we shot until the sun rose. it was such a serene morning, and i am happy that adriane + andrew will have that beautiful memory of their engagement session. of course, by the end of it- the sun was up, rush hour was beginning, people hustling, and DC was wide awake again  :)
