this weekend we celebrated baby eiley’s birthday with her 1 year photo session! wow what a year has been!

let’s start at the beginning……

here is rachel….this picture was taken 3 days before rachel went into labor!

then labor day came….and it was a looonngg day of waiting, pushing, and anticipating her arrival! eiley took a few hours longer than expected…and rachel’s epidural was very weak and only worked on one side of her body-yikes!

matt was there helping rach not think about the pain…

but sure enough- hours later with the whole family waiting in the lobby- we hear eiley’s first cry…welcome eiley!!!

fun fact: “eiley”s name was actually “kara” when she was born…they changed it at the last minute!

and 2 weeks later….look at all that hair!

3 months…she was definitely much more aware of her surroundings and laughing and smiling

6 months…able to hold herself up and sat up for the first time by herself  :)

9 months at her baptism…you can really see her personality now!

and finally- 1 YEAR!!! it was such a fun year getting to see baby eiley grow up in front of my camera…hope you enjoy these photos of her 1 yr photo shoot!

matt and rach- thank you for letting me document your family and experiment with your children at hours so early in the morning it should be illegal…for now…i will just wait for baby #3!!!  ;-)

it wouldn’t be a kids photo shoot if there weren’t a few tears…eiley was having so much fun she fell on the edge of my sofa…hard…therefore needing an ice cube to make her feel better :-)

if there is anything i learned at this shoot…it’s that there is nothing that cheerios can’t cure. NOTHING.
