my couples are my friends. i have just as much fun at my weddings with the bride and groom as i am working my tailfeather off. i was reminded of this yesterday when i was emailing back and forth with a bride.  i realized as i was emailing her back that…hmm…maybe i shouldn’t be telling a potential future bride that i am actually having fun at the weddings i work?!?! but then i thought to myself…it is a huge part of why i love what i do! but really, i love not only the couples…but their families. their stories. their history and traditions. i love the quirky. and i love the instant vibe that happens at a reception when you stuff 150 people into one room who are honestly happy and overjoyed to be there to celebrate their special day.

thank you to all you wonderful brides that i met at the Washington Bridal Showcase this past sunday. it was SO amazing to see SO MANY DIFFERENT brides from all different backgrounds. gives me goosebumps :)  but really- it was so much fun chatting with all you girls about your wedding plans! kind of a surreal day. it was a crazy, long, stressful, fun, exciting, adrenalin-rush, feet-hurtin so bad i want to be barefoot but not be judged-kinda day. and i freakin loved every minute of it :)  weeks of planning. months of planning. and if i was being really honest, i would have never believed you if you had told me this time last year that i would be here. so thank you to everyone who has been along for the fun and bumpy ride along the way :)

big thank you and hugs to husband and tony for helping me get my butt in gear at 6am to put my booth together. and to jessica for being there the entire day and just being plain awesome. it saved me from many nervous breakdowns.  xoxo.
