it’s days like this that make me realize how amazing it is to have family + friends.
days like this where you realize how all the life experiences you have shape who you are.
days like this were you are simply happy to have each other.
and it’s days like this that sometimes make me wish i wasn’t colombian. indian weddings give us a run for our money! ;-)
i can honestly say that a part of me was sad when this wedding was over. i love jennie + julius, and wish i could stick them in my pocket and take them with me. the amazing detail and thought that was put into this wedding was unreal. from the artwork on the cake that matched the design of jennie’s sari. or the planted moss and soft candles that glowed throughout the reception. every cousin, aunt and friend gathered around jennie to help her get ready while the men surrounded julius to ensure his turban was just perfect.
it was a day of mixed traditions, tears, love, mixed cultures, laughter, singing, dancing, and lots and lots of amazing indian food. julius and his family are Estonian and they were welcomed with open arms. it was an amazing thing to witness the two families joining together to start jennie + julius on their journey.
so now…some pictures :)
