my friends had their first baby. i not only wanted to capture little sawyer in his newborn sweetness, but also capture a slice of their life and how it has changed. the imperfections that make these pictures more real than a formal family picture ever could. this meant pajamas, messy sheets, and the whole family laughing in bed. even after many sleepless nights…they are still laughing :)

and those first few images…that box is the same box that Jess’ little brother used to use for his toys when he was little. i love that.
