Top 10 Best Destination Wedding Venues

Being a wedding photographer has sent me all over the world, and I’m so thankful for all the amazing places I have seen! If you’re a bride-to-be who’s interested in a destination wedding,  these venues are some of my absolute favorites. This was difficult to narrow down since there are so many I have photographed and also hope to photograph someday, but I finally came up with these ten astounding locations to share with you.

1. Cartagena, ColombiaCasa de Pestuaga

Not only is Casa de Pestuaga absolutely stunning, it’s in the heart of the old city- a historic location Cartagena is famous for. Truly an unforgettable experience with so much culture, ambiance and history.

2. Siena, Italy La Foce

If you’ve always dreamt of getting married among the most perfectly manicured Italian garden in the rolling hills of Siena, then La Foce is your spot. La Foce has each guest house situated with their own swimming pool and private garden which makes for the most relaxing destination wedding expereience.

3. Palm Springs, CaliforniaSinatra House

How unique that you can get married at one of Frank Sinatra’s estates. This architecturally significant estate is beautifully decorated with all period decor and furnishings, finishing with a magnificent piano-shaped swimming pool built just for Frank.

4. Provencal, France Capelongue

LeDomaine de Capelongue overlooks Bonnieux, a beautiful hilltop village in the heart of the Golden Triangle of Luberon. The rooms of Capelongue & Spa carry the charm of old Provence. 5. Miami, Florida The Biltmore Hotel

6. Franschhoek, South Africa Boschendal

If you’ve ever considered your wedding in South Africa, this is the place. Boschendal Wine Estate is located 45 minutes from Cape Town and is surrounded by the breathtaking mountain ranges of Groot Drakenstein and Simonsberg. Their farm-to-table menu uses only the best quality seasonal ingredients sourced from their fields, gardens and other local suppliers. With cottages scattered across the property, your guests will have a chance to immerse themselves into the many layers of South Africa’s second oldest wine farm.

7. Charleston, South Carolina Boone Hall Plantation

With 270-year-old giant oaks draped in Spanish moss lining the yard, Boone Hall Plantation is one of the most breathtaking destinations to get married. Oozing with charm and beauty, there’s not much need for decoration here. This destination has a variety of venue options for your reception whether you prefer indoor or outdoor!

8. New York, New York Rockefeller Center

If you and your spouse are city people, getting married at Rockefeller Centre on the rooftop garden is the perfect fit for you. Imagine world-class views of Fifth Avenue and St. Patrick’s Cathedral all from a historic garden. Complete with a sparkling reflective pool and a tented area in the garden that keeps the party going year-round – Rockefeller Center checks all the boxes for the most pefect urban wedding.

10. Baja California Sur, Mexico Viceroy Los Cabos

The views of this amazing property makes for amazing portrait backdrops. Recently renovated, it has rooftop pools to oceanfront sand dunes, and I would love to photograph a wedding here someday!
