VCU :: Go Rams!

whooo hooo!!! with all the excitement lately surrounding VCU making it to the Final Four, i have been completely been re-living my VCU days. i LOVED my time at VCU…love love love! it was everything i wanted. so diverse, cultural, in the middle of a great city, and completely surrounded by the arts. going to a college where at any point in time, there would be students doing charcoal drawings in the dorm hallways, music practices going on outside, design students pulling all-nighters in the MAC lab, fashion shows on a regular basis, students sculpting, dance productions…anything you can think of i was surrounded by it. turn a corner and there is a group dancing in the street with a production crew- no big deal. anything goes at VCU and nothing ever surprised me. the music scene, the tattoos, the bars- downtown Shockoe Bottom, the cute shops of Carytown, the yummy hole in the Walls (Village Cafe) and of course- basketball! it’s what i remember and miss and smile everytime i think about it…

so in the spirit of the RAMS killing it this past weekend- i figure i could publicly embarass myself a bit….

yes, i was on the VCU dance team :) and though i’m not a big sports person there was nothing like being on the court in those last few minutes of the game when it’s tied-aahhh!! chills just thinking about it!

oh the days of 15 girls getting ready in one bathroom…

who doesn’t like to take self portraits on the  sink of a public bathroom?

best roomates ever! nichole, jana and i-three girls in one dorm room. there were plenty of practical jokes, movies in bed, fights, stealing clothes, family dinners on the floor, and i recal one particularly bad cupcake fight….

remember bunk beds?

then there was the time that i lived with 5 girls in one house- the pink house!

i loved this house. it was sooo old and scary at night and we still think there was a racoon living in our walls. with 5 girls, and everyone’s friends and boyfriends- you can say we always had a full house!

yup, i had the coolest roomates ever :)
anyways, hope you enjoyed reliving a little bit of my past with me-

GO RAMMSSSSSSS!!!!!
