For us, it’s the experiences, the travel, the connections, and the iconic fashion of weddings that we love. This blog is our inside edit of all those things and more.

30 days.

it’s been about 30 days, and here is a glimpse into what life has entailed…

1. big breakfasts. 2. long to-do lists 3. sailing in annapolis 4. brady the tank 5. mustang aka the thing that has taken over my garage 6. finally the five guys trip he has been waiting a year for!  7. modern family marathons 8. kitchen nooks 9. momma woltering’s famous sticky buns 10. me and sweet eiley 11. lots of road trips to annapolis, maryland, north carolina 12. us :)

it’s been a fun 30 days consisting of lots of house projects, family dinners and what seems to be never-ending travel. we have had days on the couch with beers, snacks and watching the entire season of whatever season of modern family we are on. there have also been days were we feel like we live on the road between packing and unpacking and eating on the run. i’ve had mornings where i literally want to kick him out of bed for letting the snooze on his alarm go off for the 4th time in a row…at 6am. i am sure if you asked him he would have his own astrid stories of frustration. we have been trying out new recipes and going on runs, we have taken shots of vodka after dinner because…well why not? as always, my personal life and photography life seem to innertwine….but i only try to take advantage of the opportunities otherwise never possible, and wouldn’t trade it for the world.

our summer is only about to get busier…and our travel is far from over. however, instead of feeling overwhelmed, i am grateful. we just got back from charlotte, nc…and in the next 30 days we will be in ocean city, ohio, alaska, and hawaii. in the next 3 months you can add in long island and charleston, sc. in the next 6 months you can add in arizona and colombia… and there are some other unofficial trips in the works :) i am determined to make it out to new jersey at some point as well as pennsylvania, va beach and delaware because the only thing more important than visiting new places is visiting family.

so here we are, 30 days in. i am getting better at “sharing” everyday. this is my 4th yr in business, and after 4 yrs i have finally raised the white flag and accepted help. after all, i can’t (and shouldn’t) be doing it all myself… no matter how in control i like to be. so i am currently getting my to-do list done, while husband is out doing post office runs, depositing wedding retainers, mailing albums at ups, following up on emails, and building me shelves to finally organize my office closet. so next time i get elbowed in the face by satan in the middle of my sleep, i will try and remember this moment…and i will raise the white flag.

plus, my husband ties better bows than me. it’s not fair, but if you know us it almost makes perfect sense.
