1- sometimes i get so sad when i get home and realize that i forgot to try the cake. (but that rarely happens)

2- before i was a photographer, i used to want to be a healthy food blogger. (go ahead and laugh at the irony)

3- outside of photography life, i am not as outgoing as i may seem. more often that not, i would rather stay in and watch movies than go out to a bar.

4- i am a canon girl. but my first camera was a nikon.

5- i went to school for creative advertising, specializing in graphic design. until my professor pulled me aside in my portfolio class and says- “astrid. you are not a graphic designer. i am sorry, but you are a writer” and that day was born my copywriting degree. i just sent him an email a few weeks ago thanking him so much for having that conversation with me.

6- i once forced the primary photographer to take me to get a chocolate covered twinkie after a wedding. (i’m a GREAT second shooter! ;-) )

7- one day i would like to trick my husband into becoming my assistant.

8- no matter how many weddings i have shot, i still get nervous before every wedding. i’m kinda hoping it always stays that way.

9- today is my birthday :)
