This DC engagement session at the Washington National Cathedral was every bit as fun as it looks! Jessica and Andrew are such an incredible couple, and they’ve been such a light in the midst of all this 2020 chaos. Their wedding plans, like so many others this year, were turned upside down in the wake of the pandemic. But these two are taking it in stride and have pivoted their plans to include a small, intimate gathering (with immediate family only) at Andrew’s parent’s property in the VA countryside later this month. Jessica and Andrew are a wonderful reminder of what truly matters in times like these, and I’m positive their small event will be even more beautiful and special than their original big wedding day plans, and I, for one, can’t wait to be there to celebrate!

The Washington National Cathedral is one of my favorite places for DC engagement sessions! Something about the old-world architecture, acres of manicured gardens, and medieval towers give the whole property an air of historic glamour that can’t be found anywhere else in these parts! From the hundreds of stained-glass windows to the looming gargoyles to the thousands of hidden paths, dreamy archways and secret spots tucked away amidst the grounds, the cathedral brings such an exciting sense of wonder and whimsy to couple photos. I think it’s the perfect backdrop for love and I can’t think of a more suitable place to fit with Jessica and Andrew’s fun, romantic vibe. These two are seriously the cutest and their Washington National Cathedral engagement session was one of my favorite sessions of the year.

I can’t wait to show you how beautiful their backyard intimate wedding will be, but for now, here’s a sneak peek of one of my new favorite couples!
