Alisha and Corey’s luxury micro wedding at The Line Hotel with Evoke Design and Creative was a breath of fresh air. Their original plans for a 130-person wedding at The Line Hotel rooftop and ballroom were casualties of Covid-19, but the couple chose to continue with their October 2020 wedding date at a much smaller scale. Alisha is the founder of Girls Night In and Whiled – having to redesign their wedding in only a few months was nothing she couldn’t handle. They downsized to their special day to include only seven guests, but they chose to maintain the same level of splendor they had originally planned. Who says a micro wedding can’t be lavish?

Even with a shortened guest list, Alisha and Corey’s wedding day overflowed with beauty. Alisha started her day by getting ready with her bridesmaids virtually over Zoom. She sent them matching pink robes and champagne flutes for the occasion, keeping the day as “normal” as one could under the circumstances. Although there was no longer going to be dances at their wedding reception, Alisha took the time to have a private father-daughter dance in the bridal suite before the ceremony. She mentioned that the one upside of having a wedding during a pandemic was that the rules had gone out the window – she and Corey were able to make the day whatever they wanted it to be, and they absolutely did.
The highlight of Alisha and Corey’s wedding decor was an astounding floral chuppah by Darling & Daughters – one of the items that Alisha decided not to downsize for their smaller wedding. The chuppah overflowed with stunning fall flowers, including zinnias and hydrangeas in a range of warm nudes. They shared their beautiful rooftop ceremony with extended friends and family over Zoom, who joined in on the celebration by dressing up and toasting the couple from their couches. After the ceremony, the celebration moved to a private room with a single long table lit by candlelight. Guests were greeted by a champagne tower and an over-the-top charcuterie display, exuding the level of luxury that the couple had worked so hard to maintain in their downsized celebration. Alisha and Corey’s wedding proved that elegance is possible at any scale, and it was so wonderful to be a part of.
Alisha and Corey – Thank you so much for including me in your intimate wedding day!
